Four Step 3D Modeling Process

Step One, The Clay Model Step Two, The Textured Model Step Three, Landscaping Step Four, Rendering
Step One, The Clay Model
The first step in creating a 3D model starts with your Revit, CAD, Sketchup, Archicad or hand sketched files. Using those files a “Clay model” is rendered. This is done to have a starting place where details can be discussed and changes can be made to the model. Camera angle issues are also addressed at this stage.
Step Two, The Textured Model
Step two is adding texture and color to the model. This step adds more character and personality to the home. The color pallet is very important to showing off the homes best qualities. Along with color, texture is also added. Things like stucco, siding, and roofing materials are added. All these things play an important part in the next step, adding landscaping.
Step Three, Landscaping
Step three is adding landscaping, details, and shading. Depending on the style of the home, different types of trees and bushes will be added. The location is also important. The home can be placed on a farm, on a beach, in the mountains. Important details like adding water to the pool and adjusting the time of day and clouds to the sky give the image impact.
Step Four, Rendering
At this stage we are ready to render the high resolution images. Because these are full 360 degree 3D images we can take "pictures" from any angle. Not only can still images be generated but videos can be created as well. A 360 degree video of the home gives customers a great sense of how the finished home will look. If the model is detailed enough a "virtual" walk-through can be created.
